Itinerary
For travelers opting for Delhi to Delhi package. We start from Delhi around 6 pm
from RK Ashram metro station or Majnu Ka tila.
Reach Manali and check in to the hotel. Meet the Trip lead at the Hotel.
Today is an acclimatization day as we start our journey to the Himalayas from
tomorrow. The guests are free to explore the town of Manali but are advised to not
exert themselves too much. Hadimba Temple, Local market, cafe hopping in Old
Manali are few of the things that you can explore in Manali
Overnight stay in Manali.
Karchham is the site for a huge dam on river Sutlej which you will see as you go towards Chitkul. Sangla is famous for Nages god temple and Kamru Fort. Chitkul is a beautiful small village located right next to Baspa river.
Road will mostly remain bad all the way till Chitkul. At several stretches, there will not be a road at all and you will end up driving on dirt trails. Total distance covered would be 125 kms approximately and will take 6-7 hours easily.
Start early Morning after Breakfast, to be on the grounds of Heaven on Earth, Leh. Leh is
also known as the Cold Desert. Enroute we will come across beautiful landscapes of
Baralancha-la, Tanglangla, Moore Planes & Upshi, the route most loved by Shutterbug
community and we will be taking pitstops on our way.
For guests traveling by tempo traveler / SUV, if you are sleeping while traveling on this
route means you are missing out on several beautiful landscapes because of the
mountains feel different after every few kms. You will be amazed!! (This is also the
longest route on the journey, we will be starting early and will reach by evening)
Dinner and Overnight stay at Leh.
A very Good Morning ! Today is our first morning in Leh. A place about which you
definitely have heard a lot and always dreamt about. Leh it is! Dream come True. No
matter where you are in Leh, you will always see a series of snow-capped peaks. Those
are the Stok Ranges and the highest in them is the Stok Kangri Peak.
We gather at the Breakfast table and, later start for the Leh sightseeing tour. We start our
tour by visiting Shey Palace, followed by Thiksey Monastery. Later move towards the
confluence of Indus and Zanskar via Magnetic Hill and Pathar Sahab Gurudwara. If time
permits, you can also have Langar at the Gurudwara itself.
Hall of fame & Shanti Stupa later in the evening. Don’t exert your body, if you are feeling
tired at any time during the day.
Return to Hotel. Dinner and Overnight at Leh.
After Breakfast, move towards Highest Motorable Road of The World, KhardungLa Pass.
Have a cup of Tea there, get yourself clicked with the Khardungla Signboard by BRO &
proceed towards Nubra valley covering Deskit Monastery en route. You can also do ATV
ride in Nubra, depending on the available time ( personal expense)
Check-in at Hotel/Camp, freshen up & later you can have a Double Hump Bactarian
Camel ride. Don’t forget to click this unique mammal, found in cold Desert. It was once
used to carry the trade material on the silk route.
Dinner and Overnight stay at Nubra Camps/Hotel.
After Breakfast, proceed towards Shyok valley and then continue further till Pangong Tso,
probably the most scenic place during the whole journey.
Pangong Lake is one of the most beautiful & scenic high altitude saltwater lakes. The beauty
of this place is such that various Bollywood movies have been shot around this lake.
Another fact about the lake is that one-third of this lake is controlled by India & rest two-third
lies under Chinese province. Check In to the campsite and later we will go for a stroll around
Pangong Lake in the evening.Dinner and Overnight stay at Camps in Pangong.
Manali is only at a distance of 122 kms from Chandratal but make no mistake; this journey will easily take 7-8 hours, even more. You will be driving through the worst patch of road that you have ever encountered in your life. From Chandratal, reach back to Kunzum Pass, then head towards Batal. At Batal, you will take the road towards Gramphoo and then start on your ascent to second high altitude pass of the journey, Rohtang La. From there, it is a straight run to Manali
After Breakfast, check out from Camps for the return journey to Leh. Today again we will be
crossing several high altitude passes.
About 20 kms prior to reaching Leh we will take a deroute to Hemis Monastery and later visit
the 3 Idiots school.
Return to Leh by evening.
As today is our last evening in Ladakh so in the evening we will visit the local market and
explore cafes later in the evening. Good time to buy momentoes or shawls from the market.
Dinner and Overnight Stay at Leh
After Breakfast at Hotel, we will be departing from Leh by 8:00 am so that we reach
Jispa/Keylong in due time. Enroute we will be crossing Upshi, Tanglangla, Moore Plains,
Sarchu, Baralacha-La, before finally arriving at Sarchu and not to miss the Gata Loops.
